You can also find out what triggers your headaches – and what doesn’t.
You may find out things you never thought of, or others that don’t have as much of an impact as you thought.

Using a headache diary also allows you to describe your headaches in detail. If you’re not quite sure whether you have a migraine or a tension-type headache, or if you think you might have both types of headaches, try documenting the characteristics of your headaches for a few weeks.
